Directors of Photography

Nea is an award-winning cinematographer who studied cinematography at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts (Sweden), from which she graduated in 2018. To date, Nea has been the director of photography on three feature films, six television series, and 12 short films. Her early credits in the camera department include projects such as Black Mirror (as 1st AC) and the Ari Aster-directed A24 production Midsommar (additional photography). Her recent credits as a cinematographer include Jonatan Etzler’s feature film One More Time for Netflix and episodes 1-3 of Netflix’s upcoming crime series Hidden in Snow, soon to be released globally.

Her short film Get Ready With Me won the Student Academy Awards (Oscars) in the category Best Foreign Film. She was also nominated for the IMAGO International Award for Best Cinematography for Student Film in 2019. She later earned an award for Best Cinematography in the heavy weight class at Stockmotion Film Festival for the short film Freak.

Nea has already managed to achieve much in her short career and to gain experience working across Europe from her native Scandinavia to the UK, Spain, and Italy. She currently resides in Sweden where she is an active member of Föreningen Sveriges Filmfotografer (FSF)the Swedish Society of Cinematographers.
