Keith Madden marks his second collaboration with director Bill Condon on The Good Liar following their work together on the acclaimed 2015 drama Mr. Holmes. Madden most recently wrapped production on Ironbark, Dominic Cooke’s feature drama set against the Cuban Missile Crisis.
His most recent projects include the Showtime miniseries Patrick Melrose and the BBC telefilm The Child in Time, both starring Benedict Cumberbatch.
Previously, Madden worked with director Cooke on the 1960s-era adaptation of Ian McEwan’s novel On Chesil Beach, and with Gurinder Chadha on the 1940s biographical drama The Viceroy. Madden’s work also includes, James Watkins’ The Woman in Black, Neil Marshall’s historic actioner Centurion, the action comedy Perrier’s Bounty, Good People and the horror thriller Eden Lake, which was his first collaboration with Watkins.
Madden graduated from Wolverhampton University with a first class honors degree in contemporary sculpture and began his career at the BBC. A designer for more than eleven years now, he relishes being immersed in research and is extremely focused on character. He lives in London and loves gardening, vintage stores and eighties films.
