Camille brings a depth of knowledge and skill to costume design, both on film and in the theatre. She has an MFA from the Yale School of Drama (Theatre Design), and an MA from the Courtauld Institute in London (History of Dress). She has been designing costumes for feature films and commercials in the UK for the last ten years, but is planning shortly to move back to the States, where she was born and grew up.
Her recent film projects include the supernatural thriller, The Quiet Ones, directed by John Pogue and starring Jared Harris and Sam Clafin; and Donald Rice’s Cheerful Weather for the Wedding, starring Elizabeth McGovern and Felicity Jones, set in 1930’s England. Lilting, starring Ben Wishaw is her latest project. In addition, Camille has styled numerous commercials, including those for British Airways, Nikon, Canon and Nissan. She has also designed theatre projects for Yale Repertory and Rattlestick Theatre (off-Broadway). As an assistant costume designer, Camille worked on The Golden Compass, directed by Chris Weitz, and starring Daniel Craig and Nicole Kidman; and City of Ember, with Bill Murray and Saorsie Ronan starring.
Camille has been asked to speak about costume history at such luminary British institutions as the the Costume Society, the Victoria & Albert Museum, and the Courtauld Institute. Camille has UK/US dual citizenship, and also speaks Czech.
