Ann Maskrey

Costume Designers

Ann trained at Wimbledon School of Art where she earned a BA in Theatre Design and Craft, and began her professional life working in the costume departments of the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, South Yorkshire and at Glyndebourne Opera in East Sussex.

Her first film was Dangerous Liaisons, cutting and making costumes for Glenn Close, John Malkovich, Keanu Reeves and Peter Capaldi.  She quickly added credits to her resume, such as Sweeney Todd, Alice in Wonderland, Restoration and Batman Begins. As an Assistant Costume Designer she worked on Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace and Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, for George Lucas.

Ann spent two years in New Zealand as Costume Designer on The Hobbit film trilogy, for which she received several nominations from the Costume Designers Guild. Ann then went on to design The Man Who Knew Infinity, starring Jeremy Irons and Dev Patel. Her television credits include all three seasons of Britannia for Amazon Studios, The Singapore Grip for ITV, and Mammals, starring James Corden and Sally Hawkins, once again for Amazon Studios.
