Adam began his editing career in documentaries before moving into television drama and feature films.
Adam has forged co-creative partnerships with directors such as Simon Curtis, for whom Adam cut the much-admired BBC dramas TWENTY THOUSAND STREETS UNDER THE SKY, and A SHORT STAY IN SWITZERLAND starring Julie Walters, which earned Adam a BAFTA nomination. Adam also edited Simon’s first feature film: the BAFTA, Golden Globe and Oscar® nominated MY WEEK WITH MARILYN starring Michelle Williams, for which Adam received a nomination for an ACE Eddie award.
Other directors with whom Adam has creatively collaborated include Tom Vaughan, who has worked with Adam twice, most recently on the critically acclaimed VICTORIA (ITV/PBS), and Claudio Fäh, who is responsible for Adam’s embrace of the action-adventure genre with feature films such as NORTHMEN: A VIKING SAGA, and most recently SNIPER: HOMELAND SECURITY for Mandalay Pictures.
Other work includes the award-winning indie feature THE CARER starring Brian Cox, edgy Channel 4 cop-show THE GHOST SQUAD, which earned Adam his first BAFTA nomination, action thriller FALLEN, the romantic drama NY-LON (Otto Bathurst directing), as well as the pilot episodes of POLDARK, among many other television credits.
