Based on Stephen King’s 1975 novel of the same name, Salem’s Lot follows Ben Mears, a writer who discovers that his hometown is being terrorized by a bloodthirsty vampire. With little at his disposal besides a handful of wooden stakes, Ben assembles a ragtag team to fight back against the growing vampire horde. Virginia Johnson’s period-accurate costume design imbues the film’s ’70s, small-town setting with a sense of authenticity and nostalgia.
