Belle, with production design by Simon Bowles and costumes designed by Anushia Neradzik, will open New York’s Athena Film Festival on February 6th.

The Amma Asante directed film, based on the true story of Dido Elizabeth Belle, features sumptuous production and costume design in this 18th century tale about the illegitimate mixed-race daughter of Admiral Sir John Lindsay.  The festival announcement can be read here:
