Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein is perhaps the most quintessential monster story of all time. Who better to adapt it for the screen than director Guillermo del Toro? Oscar Isaac stars as the eponymous Victor Frankenstein, a scientist whose twisted experiment to create new life goes terribly awry. Oscar-nominated cinematographer Dan Laustsen, ASC, DFF captured the dark, rich textures of del Toro’s gothic world.
The film makes its theatrical debut on October 16 before its exclusive run on Netflix, starting November 7.
