From director Jussie Smollett, The Lost Holliday is a powerful film about grief and forgiveness. After her estranged son Damien dies, Cassandra Marshall (Vivica A. Fox) travels across the country to plan his funeral. There, she meets his husband, Jason (Jussie Smollett), and their adopted daughter for the first time. Together, they teach Cassandra more about her son than she ever knew while he was alive. The film marks the second collaboration between Smollett and cinematographer Joe “Jody” Williams, whose lens captures and enhances the poignance of this stirring drama.
