With more than twenty years of experience in film across three continents, Alex Corven has worked on such seminal movies as Ridley Scott’s “Black Hawk Down,” and “Kingdom of Heaven”; Alejandro Inarritu’s “Babel”; Martin Scorsese’s “Gangs of New York,” and Mike Nichols’ “Angels in America.”
Born in England and raised in Italy, Corven moved to New York after earning his degree in the States, and started working in production. He moved up through the ranks working on both Studio and Independent feature films. When Corven moved back to Italy in the late 90’s, he continued to work on American studio films and high profile international commercials. He has fulfilled roles as Assistant Director, Unit Production Manager and Line Producer.
Recently Corven served as Line Producer on “Grand Piano,” (written by Damien Chazelle), as well as Amazon’s “The Cosmopolitans” series filmed in Paris and directed by Whit Stillman. He now works and lives between the US and Europe and speaks Italian and French in addition to his native English.
